Reading Response Log Questions

I am always looking for work to increase my students ability to think and reason. These are a little hard for my students to do in the beginning of the year but we do it anyway to get them thinking about their answers and teaching them how to go back to the text to support their reasons. By the end of the year, the children can begin to write their answers in a Reading Response Journal. When the students become familiar with the questions and are able to discuss them in detail using examples from the story, it helps prepare them for the future and also for state testing. The kids love them. There are 25 Reading Response Questions, 10 sheets the children can use for recording their answers (2 sets of 5 one with lines and one with dotted lines) and a set of gray line masters that you can send home with the parents to help them support what their children are doing in school. This is a must have for the school year. They are on sale now for $5.00! Don't miss out!

  1. Hi Donna! This Summer I purchased your 1-10 and 11-20 number books. In a few weeks we will be doing the number 0. You wouldn't happen to have that one would you? Would love it if you did! We are doing 1 and 2 this week and my kids love your books! Thank you! :)

  6. I really love your ideas. My kinders come in at a much lower level. We are still working on walking in a straight line and hopefully getting at least the first letter written in their names. We also have 1/2 day sessions. So at times it is discouraging to see the advancement of other kinders in the blogging world. Again, love your style! Kathy
