Missing You

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has taken my journey with me over the past few years.  My mom went to be with God on April 1, 2014.  It had to be the hardest day of my life.  I know that she is at peace and not suffering anymore.  My mom was the most generous and caring person.  She made a difference.  Not many people are able to accomplish that in today's world.  She touched so many lives and was loved by all who knew her.  I only wish I can accomplish half of what she has done in her lifetime.  Her passing has really made me think that I need to take time and smell the roses.  Little things in life can wait.  We all know they do not go away, but the most important part of our lives should be our family and friends.  My mom always put her family first.  She always knew just what to say and she always made you feel like you were the most important person in the whole world.  Not a day went by that we were not on the phone atleast two or three times.  She was my morning call on the way to work. What a better way to start my day.  Although, I feel so alone at times, I know she is with me and will guide me through anything that comes my way.  So again, thank you for all your support and kind words.  They meant so much to me.  Have a great rest of the school year and I hope everyone is enjoying some warmer weather.

  4. Having lost both my father and brother unexpectedly to heart problems, I am feeling for you. The pain is relentless for a while, and then you will find the beauty in all the memories. I can hear my dad's voice all the time, talking to me. You are in my thoughts - remember to just listen for your mom...

  7. I truly understand and feel your loss. My mom was my best friend, we too, talked everyday, went shopping together, and laughed - a lot. She loved being with my sons, her grandsons. She said seeing them was her "candy" treat for the day. I miss her, but know she is in a much, much better place, with my dad. Just cherish those happy memories, for they will live on forever.
