Now my funny story for today. I was giving the Scott Foresman Benchmark test today and my little one was doing a really good job with it. Right in the middle he goes, "So, tell me..... why are we doing this again?" I laughed so hard. I told him we were benchmark testing and he looked at me gave me the right answer and said, "Oh, ok." haha My little Dionis is a smart one. I really have seen so much growth in these kinders and it has only been 7 days! I am excited for a fantastic year with them. Don't get me wrong, I am completely exhausted, but having a blast. LOL Happy Friday everyone!

I have always had my students do morning work as they are coming in from breakfast or from the bus. I like to keep them busy before the bell rings and the announcements start. Usually it has been some type of Language Arts work, but at the end of last year I started to put some math morning work together to go with the common core standards, our Singapore Math program and mainly any other type of math program out there. LOL I have finally finished my Beginning of the Year one and I am having a FLASH SALE on it for half price. It is 93 pages and lots of choices on how you would like to use it.

First Week Complete & Some Giveaways!

Wow, the first week is done. It was a doozy. My mom fell on Sunday night and broke her hip which left me very tired and anxious all week. She had her operation on Tuesday and so I have been going from school to the hospital every night. I am trying to recover this weekend by sleeping in a little later. We are not sure when she will be moved from the hospital yet so any prayers are more than welcome!!

The little ones are great. Our numbers keep growing. But so far, they are adorable and look like they are ready to learn. My student teacher, Amanda has been a blessing this week and is so great with the kids. I am very lucky!!

While I have been in the hospital I got some things that I wanted to finish done. That is good.

My Classroom 2012-2013

Well, for the most part my classroom is complete. Whoo Hoo!! A little odds and ends and putting things away and we should be good to go. I can not believe the little ones are coming in on Monday. So far, I have 22 students. It is always fun to see their excitement on the first day of school. They looked so cute at the Meet and Greet. I want to thank all my bloggy friends for their wonderful creations on teacherspayteacher. Can you spy all the wonderful things from all of you in my classroom. Thank goodness too. I printed, laminated and cut out my things to hang and I lost them. So, somewhere in my room is a stack of posters and printables. My husband said, "Just reprint them because you know once you do, you will find the orignials." I think they are going to show up sooner or later so I am just fine waiting. I have so many other wonderful things to display. :) I hope all of you have a wonderful start to your school year. Click on the video to see my classroom!!
